During a global career in the metals and mining sector, Jonathan Price has developed a diverse set of skills and experience. He has established a track record of delivering exceptional outcomes across operations management, financial advisory, commercial structuring and negotiation, transformation and the leadership of large teams. Originally from the UK, Jonathan gained a masters degree in metallurgy and commenced his career in production and process engineering roles at a metals refinery. Following completion of an MBA, Jonathan moved to ABN AMRO investment bank in London, servicing metals and mining clients through a period of industry consolidation. Jonathan joined BHP Billiton in 2006 and during his 13 years with the Company has worked in the UK, Asia and Australia across a range of commercial, business development and finance roles. Throughout his career, Jonathan has variously worked with governments, joint venture partners, customers, industry peers, investors and a range of advisors. In addition to his passion for building productive business relationships, he is also keenly focussed on the development of high performance teams, enabling others to realise their full potential. Having worked in BHPs Nickel, Marketing and Iron Ore businesses and having led the Investor Relations team in London, Jonathan relocated back to Singapore to take up the position of Vice President Finance, supporting Marketing and the Global Functions. In January 2018, Jonathan initiated and took leadership of World Class Functions, a program that will deliver improved effectiveness and efficiency across BHPs functions. He transitioned to the role of Transformation Director, and established the Transformation Office in July 2018. At the beginning March 2019, Jonathan was appointed Chief Transformation Officer, a role previously held by the CEO - Andrew Mackenzie. Jonathan is married with three daughters, and never travels without his running shoes.
