Mr. Turner joined Rafaella Resources Ltd, an exploration and development company, following its acquisition of the flagship Santa Comba tungsten mine in northwest Spain. Prior to this Mr. Turner was head of business development at a private mining company, having been instrumental in the successful growth of the company from a junior to mid-tier Australian base metal operator, completing several acquisitions of circa A$50M to A$70M including overseeing the integration post-acquisition of a major underground operation. Mr. Turner has held the role of CFO of an ASX and AIM listed mining company with uranium development projects located in Spain, working closely with potential offtakers and the government regulator. He has also been CFO of a $300M oil and gas company listed on the TSX-V and AIM, during which the company transitioned from developer to operator generating revenues of over US$100M per annum. During this time, Mr. Turner secured credit commitments for a US$290m borrowing base facility and raised a fully marketed equity issuance of C$75m, just as the GFC was taking hold. Mr. Turner has been Executive Director and the Asian Regional Head of Corporate Finance for Natural Resources at a major European investment bank based between Singapore and Hong Kong and a Director of Project Finance at a Canadian resource bank based out of London. During his career, Mr. Turner has raised a wide variety of capital on the private and public markets, including equity, public bonds, project and development finance, acquisition debt and vanilla corporate facilities. He has actively led and advised on multiple acquisitions and divestments ranging from US$300K through to over US$800M and has successfully closed out numerous joint venture deals, farmin/outs, offtake agreements and hedging arrangements both financial and commodity. He has experience of working and living in Australia, Europe, North America and South East Asia. Mr. Turner is a Fellow of The Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
