Acciona is currently delivering two packages of work in for CODELCO VP in Chile, including the Chuquicamata Underground Mine project. The project includes 27km of drill and blast tunnels and 6 chimneys, each 180m in length. This is a complex and challenging contract taking place in the world’s largest open pit copper mine, involving five fronts of horizontal tunnel development, two fronts of vertical development (raise boring), and associated civil auxiliary works. Acciona is also delivering approximately 10km of tunnelling works for CODELCO VP at the Andina Mine project in Chile.
