mineAlloy is one of the Industrial Transformation Training Centres funded by the Australian Research Council in collaboration with universities (Deakin, Monash and University of Queensland) and industry partners (Gekko Systems, Weir Minerals, Keech Castings, IXL Metal Castings, Trelleborg Engineering and Cast Bonding Australia).
The mineAlloy centre provides unprecedented training opportunities for young researchers and aims to transform Australia into a producer of world-class mining equipment and components. The students work on projects proposed by the industry partners and under the supervision of academics.
The projects focus on recent developments in steel technology, novel alloy compositions, emerging manufacturing methods (3D printing) as well as modelling and sensing tools.
mineAlloy will be showcasing their latest innovations and research on the expo floor at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC). Register your free expo pass now.
