Barry Fehlberg is a geologist with 40 plus years of multi-commodity exploration experience and a proven track record of ore-body discovery. He has held many executive positions in both ASX and overseas listed Companies. His experience includes exploration for gold, base metals, diamonds, nickel, vanadium and iron ore commodities. During this period he has negotiated many joint ventures and sales agreement with Company peers, both major and junior.
Successful ventures include discoveries at Koongie Park (base metals), Mt Gibson (gold, base metals), Bellevue and Bullabulling (gold), Ellendale (diamonds) and Julia Creek (vanadium). In more recent times, Mr Fehlberg led the exploration team that discovered the Railway Iron Ore deposit for United Minerals Corporation NL. This company was taken over by BHP Billiton in 2010 in a $204 million transaction.
He was a founding member and now life member of AMEC, the association of Mining and Exploration Companies. In this role he has liaised with all tiers of government in progressing industry concerns.
Barry Fehlberg is an Honours Geology Graduate of the University of Adelaide (1968).
