Brett Ascott BSc (Hons) Geology, MEngSc (Mining Geomechanics), Grad. Dip. Mining, FAusIMM Brett has 24 years experience in mining. He graduated from the University of WA in 1994 with honours in Geology, before studying at Ballarat University for a Graduate Diploma in Mining and later at the West Australian School of Mines for a Masters in Mining Geomechanics. After working in various geotechnical engineering roles for the first ten years of his career he moved into mine planning and has been doing mining technical management roles for the last 14 years. Brett has worked in most states in Australia, Indonesia and Africa. He is currently Resolutes Technical Services Manager, where he manages a team responsible for providing technical support to the companys mine sites and corporate studies, exploration and business development teams.
