Bruce’s career has spanned 40 years of worldwide field experience in the mining industry. In his early career as a geologist Bruce set up some of the mining industry’s earliest native title agreements with Aboriginal people in Australia.
For seven years Bruce was Global Practice Leader Communities and Social Performance at Rio Tinto. Bruce is currently the Principal of a boutique consultancy and a senior Advisor for Critical Resources on Social License matters. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Sustainable Minerals Institute at the University of Queensland and was Chair of the AusIMM’s recent Social License to Operate Forum.
