Charlie Yang is a professional practitioner with over ten years of experience in the mineral and energy sector, primarily focusing on investment, fundraising, listing and other transactions. Started his career with HSBC, Charlie has accumulated abundant natural resource exposures in the past decade. Charlie is now a Director at Cedrus Investments. Prior to joining Cedrus Investments, Charlie was a Director and Head of Mineral & Energy Advisory at Hong Kong listed GCA Group. Charlie is also a committee member of the Kangaroo Mining Club.
Charlie holds a doctoral degree in Mineral Economics from the University of Geosciences. Charlie also holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and a master degree in finance from the University of New South Wales.
Charlie is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder and an International Certified Valuation Specialist and specialize in mineral asset valuation. Charlie is also a Member of the AusIMM and a committee member of the special committee for drafting global mineral rights valuation guideline of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Charlie also frequently acts as a keynote speaker in international conferences, forums and seminars for stock exchanges, professional organisations and industry associations. Charlie is also a board member of several listed and private natural resources companies.
