Darren Stralow is a mining engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from the Western Australian School of Mines and a WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate. He has held various roles across operations, mine management and business development over his 18-year career primarily focussed on underground gold mining across Western Australia. Darren was part of the Senior Management Team which led the Northern Star Resources Limited’s expansion from a single asset company to an ASX-100 gold miner with assets across Western Australia and North America, creating billions of dollars of shareholder value.
Darren is currently the Chief Development Officer at Northern Star and a non-executive director of copper-zinc developer Venturex Resources. Passionate about mining education, Darren was an industry representative on the CME Education Strategy Working Group, CME Roundtable on Mining Engineering Education, and the Industry Reference Group for the Redesign of the Curtin Mining Engineering Curriculum. Darren leads the Northern Star Graduate Program and has hired over 100 graduates over the last five years.
