He completed a Masters degree at the University of Tasmania on the genesis of BHP’s giant Olympic Dam deposit. Recently he lived in the Kyrgyz Republic, exploring for Kumtor-type Orogenic Gold deposits and was involved in a team who completed a 12-month pre-feasibility study on the 6.8M Oz Taldybulak Porphyry Cu-Au-Mo deposit.
New South Resources Pty Ltd explores for gold and base metals in NSW. NSR’s licences are highly researched and contain superior targets which have the potential to hold the Lachlan Fold Belt’s next large epithermal and VMS deposits. The companies focus is NSW as it is a low risk jurisdiction full of great people and great opportunities. We have been exploring as a private company over the last 10 years and the company holds 100% of four exploration licenses EL6525 Oberon, EL6516 Dobroyde, EL8577 Dobroyde Extended and EL6768 Dobroyde South.
New South Resources is making discoveries to seek a high risk-high return for its tight shareholder base. At Dobroyde we are targeting an epithermal gold system down plunge from the small but outcropping JORC 2012 gold resource. Recent drilling led us to believe the epithermal transitions into carbonate base-metal style alteration and mineralisation. The Oberon licence boasts historic mine workings for gold and base metals over 5km in length, these are in late Silurian to early Devonian volcanogenic hosted massive sulphide deposits of similar age, surface expressions and mineralogy to the giant Woodlawn deposit near Goulburn, NSW.
