
Glenn McDowell
Glenn completed a B.Sc. in Applied Physics followed by a M.Sc. in Applied Physics (both from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada) and then joined the Geomechanics Research Centre at Laurentian University from 1991-95 to work on rockburst research. He joined Inco/Vale in 1995 as Mines Geophysicist for Canadian Properties with focus on implementing geophysical methods/equipment into the production environment.
He subsequently managed Vale’s Canadian Brownfield Geophysics group from 2007-16. He now manages Vale’s Innovation and Geophysics group which is part of the Global Exploration group. Glenn has responsibility for a variety of internal and external geophysics and geochemistry projects that are carried out by staff, Universities and consultants.
