Helen Degeling is the Director of Minerals, Geoscience, Department of Natural, Resources, Mines and Energy of Queensland Government.
As an independent geological consultant to the resources sector, she provide geological, managerial and administrative support to a range of exploration and mining companies throughout Australia and the world. Helen Degeling specialise in GIS, data compilation and analysis, reporting, and exploration planning.
Helen Degeling has 7 years experience in gold and base metals exploration, having worked in the Pilbara, Yilgarn, Gawler and Mt Isa Inlier. She also have a strong academic background, with a PhD and 3 years research experience in geochemistry. This serves me well in compiling and analysing client data sets, as well as setting a high standard for statutory and company reporting. With keen organisational and managerial skills, Helen Degeling is able to provide external support to short-staffed exploration teams, in the form of budgeting, scheduling and preparation of planning material for upper management and the Board.
