Janenie is a young professional with degrees in Geology and Geophysics. She started her career as a geologist with Rio Tinto and has since gained experience in a number of industries including oil and gas, architecture, and engineering. Janenie is currently a Corporate Partnerships Manager at AusIMM where she works closely with mining organisations and the tertiary sector to develop and implement strategies for the long-term benefit of the sector.
Janenie is incredibly passionate about strengthening the sector’s talent framework; she believes in the potential of the mining industry to encourage more students and young professionals in pursuing a resources career. As part of her commitment towards contributing to the growth of the sector, Janenie serves as a young professional on various Steering Committees including the Women in Mining Network, the Melbourne Mining Club, and the London Metals Exchange Down Under Community.
