Jay Armburger is currently focused on advancing the applications of leading technologies to the Underground Mining portfolio. Prior to his current responsibilities, Jay has held several positions in Engineering, Research & Development, Product Management, and Portfolio Strategy. Over a 26-year span in Underground Mining, his experiences include Longwall Shearer Systems and Room & Pillar products. As a leader on the corporate team, Jay represented Bucyrus in the product integration planning organization prior to Caterpillar’s acquisition in 2011.
Most recently, Jay was the Product Manager for the Hard Rock Vehicle product line in Tasmania, Australia where he launched the R1700 Emissions program (EU Stage V), next generation Command for Underground Automation, portfolio expansion with the AD22 truck and initiated the Underground Battery Electric vehicle program.
Jay has a Master’s in Business Administration from Gannon University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
