Jose has also served as a non-executive director of a number of foreign companies in Australia; been a partner in the Sydney-based law firms, Bodors and Cutler Hughes & Harris; served as Honorary Secretary of the Overseas Bankers Association of Australia from 1993 to 2001; and was a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of International Studies at the University of Technology Sydney, from 1997 to 2001.
