Kim Eales holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources/Marketing) from Griffith University, Gold Coast.
Kim is a founding member of Resolutions Systems and has 10 years’ experience in the mining sector as both an Ops leader in Rio Tinto and in implementing MaxMine. Operationally, Kim’s core focus has been tyre life improvement, haul fleet optimisation and operator engagement to sustain performance.
Kim’s career began in Human Resources, working in multiple industries before finding a home in mining with Rio Tinto. Kim then transitioned from Human Resources to a Mine Operational leadership role. Kim has a passion for turning operations around and his focus has always been people-centric.
Some of the key foundations and principles associated with the MaxMine product have found their origins in his hands-on experience delivering successful results as an operational leader. The Mine2Mill project was born through a desire to add further value to the mining process on a daily basis.
Improving an operations ability to plan ahead for the remainder of a shift based on what you are currently mining and where you are planning to mine. Through this process creating the ability to truly fine tune the operation and turn technology into tonnes.
Underpinning this project is the MaxMine platform, supported by Petra Data Sciences and Manta controls. MaxMine was developed by Resolution Systems, a team of Mining Operational Leaders, Mine Operational Improvement Coaches, Big Data and IOT experts who have been using big data to identify and implement major improvements for blue chip companies in vehicle fault diagnosis, automotive manufacturing, pulp and paper, oil and gas and even the world’s first injection of steam into a lead blast furnace for over 20 years.
Founded in January 2015, Resolution Systems first trialled MaxMine in July 2015 at Newmont Boddington and progressed to commercial operation in August 2016.
Since then, MaxMine has been growing steadily, our first overseas site at South32 in South Africa, and our first large mining contractor site with Macmahon Contractors in the Pilbara, Western Australia, and more underway.
With over 1 million hours of on-asset operation, MaxMine is now proven on both mechanical and electric trucks with multi-million dollar savings being realised across the globe.
