Megan has been with the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) for over 12 years. The MCA represents Australia’s exploration, mining and minerals processing industry, nationally and internationally, in its contribution to sustainable development and society. Megan recently transitioned to a Membership role with responsibility for eastern Australia. Prior to this she was Executive Director – Victoria for 8 years.
Megan has over 20 years’ experience advocating industry policies. She spent a number of years developing climate change policies and responses on behalf of a broad range of industries. Relocating to Canberra, provided an opportunity to work in the Commonwealth public service on climate change issues as well as advising on solutions to coal export infrastructure bottlenecks. A return to Victoria saw her take a short term role in the Victorian public service to undertake legislative reform of the earth resources sectors, prior to joining the MCA in 2007 and undertaking a variety of policy roles.
Megan has a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Zoology from the University of Melbourne.
