Melanie McCarthy (MAusIMM CP) holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering and a BA from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She holds a MEngSc in Mining Engineering from the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) and is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Melanie has over 20 years’ experience working in mines and processing facilities throughout Australia and was the Mine Manager at Costerfield for 10 years. She is currently the General Manager, Costerfield of Mandalay Resources.
Melanie McCarthy has lived on remote sites and contributed to rural communities throughout Australia over the last twenty years.
Melanie McCarthy current role as general manager she lead a team of 250 people running a narrow vein underground mine and process plant exporting their product to China. Melanie McCarthy is a qualified life and business coach. Melanie McCarthy enjoy helping develop leaders for their community and transforming people’s outlook on life, and ultimately their happiness.
Melanie McCarthy is an experienced chairperson and non executive director, having held roles in the government sector in natural resource management and private agribusiness.
