Mitsuhiro ”Mick” Hirano is the President and Chairman of the Board of Minera San Cristóbal S.A., the biggest mining company in Bolivia operating an open-pit Zinc-Lead-Silver mine.
Minera San Cristobal S.A. is a 100% subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation with headquarter in Japan.
In his professional career, Mick has been working for Sumitomo Corporation for 28years, a leading integrated trading company engaged in diverse businesses based on its global network. He has been engaged various business such as petroleum products, carbon products, copper and gold mining business. Before becoming a President of Minera San Cristobal in November 2017, Mick served a General Manager of Non-Ferrous Metals Business Department of Sumitomo Corporation, responsible for copper and gold mining and trading.
