Paul Terry is the Vice President of Plant, Process and Equipment Technology at Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL), parent company of Dyno Nobel – a global leader in commercial explosives and blast design.
Paul is currently leading Dyno Nobel’s transformation of the explosives loading process, from a series of manual tasks to autonomous operations. This leverages the technological advances in sensor and processor power from explosives delivery trucks to placing detonators. He believes the automation possibilities are endless.
As an Electrical Engineer with 20 years of experience in explosives manufacturing and distribution in senior technical and operations leadership roles, Paul has led automation and control transformations from large scale manufacturing to customer delivery equipment, all with the common mix of leading and managing change, and technical innovation.
New technologies continue to change the way Dyno Nobel is innovating on the ground to both exceed customers’ expectations and improve the safety and efficiency of mining operations with automation is a key part of this transformation.
