
Sam Riggall has been CEO of Clean TeQ Holdings Ltd since 2013. Clean TeQ is developing the Syerston Project in central NSW, which will become one of the largest suppliers of nickel and cobalt sulphate to the lithium ion battery industry.
Prior to his appointment at Clean TeQ, Sam Riggall was Executive Vice President – Business Development and Strategic Planning at Ivanhoe Mines Limited. Sam Riggall was an executive director of Ivanhoe Australia Limited and a non-executive director of Oyu Tolgoi LLC.
Sam Riggall worked for the Rio Tinto Group in a variety of roles for almost 15 years. Sam Riggall was the mining executive responsible for Rio Tinto’s Industrial Minerals businesses before taking on the role of Commercial Manager for Rio Tinto’s global project generation group. Sam Riggall worked in several business development and project evaluation roles within Rio Tinto, including leading the four-year negotiation with the Mongolian Government to secure an Investment Agreement for the Oyu Tolgoi Project. Sam Riggall has worked extensively in China and throughout Asia.
Sam Riggall is also a director of Syrah Resources Limited, which is currently constructing the world’s largest graphite mine in Mozambique.
